PODCAST VS PLAYER POLICIES
We try to be as transparent as possible in every aspect of Podcast vs Player, and as such we will try to keep this section of the website updated with any and all changes that we may make, and any amendments will be visibly recorded, so you can see what we've changed.
REVIEWS - We receive review products from various companies, and as such we are legally required to inform you if anything we review has been provided to us free of charge or at an undisclosed discount. These items, whether they be hardware, software, digital, physical or otherwise, will be declared at the header of written reviews, and verbally spoken on videos (as well as in lower thirds on screen, and in the description of the video). If a review is being performed on something that we have purchased ourselves, we will aim to include this in the review as well. Regardless of if a review unit has been provided to us for free, it in no way influences the review, and we will be as honest and transparent as we feasibly can - both positive and negative.
Affiliates - We have a high number of affiliates that we work worth, and we receive payment in various forms through these partnerships:
-
Podcast advertising - This is our most frequent use of affiliate partners, and we will include these at the start and end of the podcast, and if it fits naturally with the discussion, we will do a mid-roll too.
-
Homepage Adverts - When we receive review units, we offer a months advertising space on the Podcast vs Player homepage for the review product in question. This is in the form of a banner ad, and clicking it generates revenue.
-
Sponsored Content - Some of our affiliates will sponsor either an episode or an entire series, depending on the show/relevance. This will be declared on each episode, and all the information for/what the sponsorship entails will be provided within said episode.
-
Partners - If we work with a company, brand or person, for example, a podcast or video, we will include links to the affiliated company, brand or person, and both we and they may generate revenue from these links.
Podcast vs Player, with its affiliates and its subsidiaries (collectively, “Podcast vs Player”, “us”, “our” or “we”), owns, operates, or provides access to, interactive websites, mobile and connected applications, and other online interactive features and services, including, but not limited to, emails, newsletters, chat areas, forums, communities, sweepstakes and contests (collectively “Services”).
